Student, 19, gives birth in Dungun hostel; baby's body found wrapped in cloth in locker

A 19-year-old female student gave birth to a baby boy of about eight months in a hostel toilet at an educational institution in Dungun, Terengganu, last Wednesday night. The baby's body is believed to have been wrapped in cloth, placed in a bag and kept in a hostel locker before being found. Police are investigating under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealing a birth, and the body was sent to Dungun Hospital's forensic department for a post-mortem.
