National team management committee chairman Datuk Ahmad Najmi Razak said ranking is no longer the measure for Malaysia's men's hockey squad at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026. He said the players must win every group match to chase gold, acknowledging India are favourites but believing Malaysia can spring a surprise.
