Chief Justice: lawyers must tell clients when their case is weak

Chief Justice Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh told the Negeri Sembilan Bar Conference 2026 in Seremban that good lawyers must be willing to tell paying clients their preferred legal strategy is flawed. He said advocacy requires judgment, ethics and courage, not just knowledge of the law.
