George Russell set the fastest time in the opening Formula One practice session at Madrid's new Madring circuit, leading a Mercedes one-two ahead of championship leader Kimi Antonelli. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were third and fourth, while Max Verstappen and Lando Norris completed the top six.
