Mobile banking Trojan packages double 2024 total in first quarter of 2026
Kaspersky detected 162,275 new mobile banking Trojan installation packages in the first quarter of 2026, more than twice the number recorded across all of 2024. Banking Trojans made up 52.96% of malicious mobile apps found in the quarter, up from about 31% in 2025, with attackers using fake app stores, phishing links and scam schemes to steal data.
