Young Tigress lose to Bangladesh, finish sixth at Asia Junior Cup

Malaysia's junior women's hockey team ended their Asia Junior Cup 2026 campaign in Moqi, China in sixth place after losing to Bangladesh in the fifth-and-sixth classification match. Coach Nasihin Nubli Ibrahim said fitness and physical strength need improvement, and state-level development programmes are important for the 16-year-old players. The failure to reach the semi-finals cost them a ticket to next year's Junior World Cup.
