S'porean woman, 60, loses S$140k in Nanning apartment pyramid scheme

A 60-year-old Singaporean woman lost S$140,000 after investing in an apartment unit in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, through a suspected pyramid scheme known as the Nanning Project. She also invested S$50,000 and recruited a friend, believing the scheme was legitimate. To date, 52 Singaporeans have been arrested in connection with the scheme.
