Wong: Singapore's cohesion rests on confident identities and bridge-building
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said Singapore's social cohesion depends on communities being confident in their identities while reaching out to build trust with one another. Speaking at the 85th anniversary celebration of the Singapore Kadayanallur Muslim League on Sept 12, he warned that global fragmentation, economic dislocation and identity politics make this work more important, and noted racist comments that surfaced online over investments in India.
