Norris takes Spanish GP pole with 'masterpiece' lap after late charge
Lando Norris secured pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix with a stunning final qualifying lap, improving by 0.701 seconds to beat Kimi Antonelli by 0.011 seconds. McLaren team principal Andrea Stella called it a 'masterpiece' and one of the most impressive laps he has seen in 450 grands prix. Norris admitted he made a mistake at the final corner that cost him over 0.3 seconds.
