Residents' coalition blasts DBKL over walkway dining permits

A coalition of Kuala Lumpur residents' associations has criticised DBKL's decision to allow restaurant operators to place tables and chairs on public walkways with a RM30 monthly permit. Save Kuala Lumpur chairman Datuk M. Ali says the move endangers pedestrians and contradicts the Kuala Lumpur Local Plan 2040, and the group plans to write to Minister Hannah Yeoh and Mayor Fadlun Mak Ujud demanding an explanation.
