34 ITE and polytechnic students to represent Singapore at WorldSkills in Shanghai
Thirty-four young people from ITE and the polytechnics will represent Singapore at the WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai from Sept 22 to Sept 27, competing in 31 categories, a record for the country. Among them is 21-year-old Brandon Yap, a Ngee Ann Polytechnic electrical engineering student who will compete in mechatronics with teammate Cedric Yau. Senior Minister of State for Education Janil Puthucheary addressed the team at a send-off ceremony on Sept 4.
