Tiong King Sing proposes Petaling Street food street, to meet Hannah Yeoh

Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Tiong King Sing said he will meet Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh next week to discuss turning Petaling Street into a food street. Speaking at the 2026 MCA Hall National Mid-Autumn Festival at Jalan Sultan, Kuala Lumpur, he suggested the federal government emulate Singapore and called on businesses to open their shops to prevent the area from becoming a dead street.
