Malaysia targets AI nation status by 2030 with worker reskilling push
The government is preparing Malaysians to become an 'AI nation' by 2030 under the National AI Action Plan 2026-2030 and the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint 2030. Targets include over 300,000 AI-related jobs, 700,000 workers reskilled, and 80 per cent digital literacy. Programmes such as Jelajah AI MyMahir and the Rakyat Digital platform offer free basic AI training to students, workers, jobseekers and the public.
