Guterres: AI gap could widen global inequality
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned at the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi that unequal access to AI could widen existing global inequality. He urged greater international effort so developing countries also benefit from the technology, backing the Global AI Capacity-Building Network and a Global Fund for AI. Guterres also called for reform of global institutions including the UN Security Council and the Bretton Woods system.
