Data Centre Task Force receives over 40 applications in 2026, says MITI
KUALA LUMPUR: The Data Centre Task Force (DCTF) has received more than 40 applications to build or expand data-centre operations in Malaysia this year. Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani said each proposal is assessed on investment value, energy, water and connectivity needs. He said RM218.5 billion in investments were approved in the first half of 2026, with data-centre and cloud-computing projects accounting for RM95.8 billion.
