RHT mine suspension may cut Malaysia Smelting Q3 profit by up to RM12mil
Malaysia Smelting Corp Bhd faces lower near-term earnings after a 4.3-week suspension of mining operations at its subsidiary Rahman Hydraulic Tin. Apex Securities estimates an RM11 million to RM12 million hit to Q3 FY26 net profit, while Public Investment Bank sees quarterly production down 30 per cent and a possible RM20 million to RM25 million pre-tax loss in the mining segment. Tin smelting operations are unaffected and PublicInvest keeps its Outperform call with a RM3.10 target price.
