Zverev beats Shelton in four sets to win US Open
Alexander Zverev won his second Grand Slam title of 2026 by beating Ben Shelton 6-3 7-6 (7-2) 5-7 6-2 in the US Open final at Flushing Meadows, New York. The German, who lost the 2020 final after leading by two sets, said he did not realise the match was over until his team told him. He paid tribute to his father and mother after the win.
