FAM told to be open on heritage player clearances after FIFA sanctions
Critics are urging the FA of Malaysia to be more transparent about how it clears foreign-born heritage players, after seven players and FAM were sanctioned by FIFA and taken to the Court of Arbitration for Sport over forged ancestry documents. Sports analyst Datuk Dr Pekan Ramli said fans will not accept eleventh-hour announcements such as Australian-based Brad Tapp's without documentary proof, pointing to Indonesia's open approach.
