AmFIRST REIT divests weak assets in portfolio repositioning
AmFIRST REIT is repositioning its portfolio after years of lacklustre performance, divesting lower-yielding and non-core assets such as AmBank Group Leadership Centre and Menara AmFIRST. CEO Chong Hong Chuon said the asset portfolio has not generated enough yield to pay a dividend, while chairman Azlan Baqee Abdullah noted the last acquisition was Mydin Hypermall in Bukit Mertajam over a decade ago.
