Box with toy blocks destroyed by bomb squad in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling

A suspicious plastic box found in front of a shoplot in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, was destroyed by a police bomb disposal unit on Monday afternoon. Initial checks showed a high radiation reading, prompting the deployment of the Bomb Disposal Unit and the Bukit Aman CBRNE unit, but the Malaysian Nuclear Agency later confirmed no radioactivity. The box contained colourful toy building blocks and police are investigating the case as criminal intimidation.
