Singapore studying nuclear energy with open mind, says Grace Fu at IAEA conference
Singapore is studying whether nuclear energy could be viable, with an open mind but mindful of its constraints as a small, densely populated city-state, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu said at the IAEA General Conference in Vienna. The country will undergo its first Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review with the IAEA in 2027 and is building capabilities to assess advanced nuclear technologies including small modular reactors.
