More than 300 bid farewell as FDS crash victim Alexson Adit laid to rest in Lambir
Alexson Adit Henry, a 31-year-old Flying Doctor Service assistant medical officer, was buried at the Anglican Cemetery in Lambir, Miri, on Sept 14 after a funeral service at Good Shepherd Church in Lutong. He was one of five people killed when an FDS helicopter crashed near the Long Lellang STOLport in Ulu Baram on Sept 8.

Jururawat FDS Jessie Paya Jok dikebumikan di Lambir, Miri
Jessie Paya Jok, 44, seorang jururawat Perkhidmatan Doktor Udara (FDS) yang terkorban dalam nahas helikopter di Long Lellang, Baram, selamat disemadikan di Tanah Perkuburan BEM Lambir, Miri petang tadi. Beliau antara lima mangsa nahas pada 8 September lalu, yang turut merangkumi juruterbang, pegawai perubatan dan pembantu pegawai perubatan. Siasatan punca kejadian masih dijalankan oleh Biro Siasatan Kemalangan Udara (AAIB).

Fahmi: Wear N95 masks at Kuching Malaysia Day fireworks as haze persists
Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the Malaysia Day 2026 fireworks at Kuching Waterfront will go ahead as scheduled, but advised the public to wear N95 masks outdoors amid the haze. He spoke after opening the national-level Malaysia Day exhibition at Plaza Merdeka, which runs until Sept 16 and features the history of Malaysia's formation.

Projek penggantian penuh Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Selanyau di Subis bernilai RM9.89 juta yang dikategorikan sebagai projek sakit sedang diberi perhatian serius. Menteri Pendidikan, Inovasi dan Pembangunan Bakat Sarawak Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn membuat lawatan kerja ke sekolah itu baru-baru ini dan menekankan semua pihak mesti bertanggungjawab menyiapkan kerja dalam tempoh ditetapkan. Projek yang diserahkan pada Mei 2021 dan sepatutnya siap Julai 2022 itu melibatkan bilik darjah, bangunan pentadbiran, makmal dan kuarters guru.

Miri Hospital staff gathered on Sunday to bid farewell to three colleagues killed in the Flying Doctor Service helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Sarawak. The remains of staff nurse Debra Moset, medical assistant Alexson Adit Henry and staff nurse Jessie Paya Jok were released from the hospital mortuary, with burials planned in Lambir. The pilot and a medical officer were flown to Peninsular Malaysia for burial.
