Immigration raids net 1,155 undocumented workers across Malaysia
Malaysia's Immigration Department arrested 1,155 undocumented foreign workers in a nationwide operation called Ops Sasar, which targeted 40 locations. The raids, which also checked 2,254 people including locals, focused on industrial and commercial areas. In Shah Alam, 117 people were detained, and 35 were arrested in Telok Panglima Garang.

The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) Kuala Lumpur seized untaxed white cigarettes and liquor worth RM1.95 million through two special operations around the Klang Valley. Mother of former senator Ras Adiba Radzi dies in Petaling Jaya
Siti Sariah Abu, the 81-year-old mother of former senator and Bernama chairman Ras Adiba Radzi, died at her home in Section 16, Petaling Jaya. She passed away peacefully while sitting at home at around 5.20pm. The funeral is expected to take place at the Bukit Kiara Muslim Cemetery tomorrow morning.

Fashion designer acquitted of drug trafficking after three years in remand
The Shah Alam High Court has acquitted and discharged fashion designer G Chelvan of a charge of trafficking over 3kg of methamphetamine. Judicial Commissioner Norhisham Ismail ruled that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case. Chelvan had been in detention at Sungai Buloh Prison since his arrest in March 2023.
