Sungei Ujong Undang declares Tuanku Muhriz removal invalid despite MB's purported sign-off
The Undang of Sungei Ujong, Dato' Klana Petra Muhammad Faris Johari Meor Ngah, has declared that a declaration signed by the Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar to remove the state's ruler, Tuanku Muhriz, is invalid. He cited a prior ruling by the state's Dewan Keadilan dan Undang that the April 19 declaration lacked legal effect. The dispute stems from an attempt by four individuals claiming to be Undangs to install a new ruler.

Elderly motorcyclist dies after collapsing on road in Tampin
A 65-year-old man died after collapsing while riding his motorcycle against traffic on Jalan Tampin-Gemas in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. He was taken to Tampin Hospital but was pronounced dead at 3.45pm. Police are investigating under the Road Transport Act.

IJM launches AI traffic control centre for three highways, cuts response times by 33%
IJM Corporation launched its AI-powered Smart Highway Traffic Control Centre at the Besraya Loke Yew toll plaza lay-by. The system, which covers Besraya, NPE and LEKAS, uses AI and IoT to detect incidents faster and reduce emergency response times to between eight and 10 minutes. Works Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi officiated the launch and said no retrenchments are planned.

Selangor to reject data centre projects lacking water, power supply
The Selangor government will not approve data centre projects unless they have guaranteed water and electricity supply, said Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari. He was speaking at the handover of the NCT Smart Industrial Park in Sepang, where a 100-acre parcel is slated for a data centre development. The state is also encouraging water recycling and aims to boost the semiconductor sector.
