Shopkeeper recalls Flying Doctor crew's stop before Long Lellang helicopter crash
A shopkeeper in Long Siut, Sarawak, recounted how the Flying Doctor Service helicopter crew stopped at her shop for about an hour before their fatal crash at Long Lellang STOLport. The crew mentioned they had an appointment with patients despite hazy weather. Five people were on board the BO-105 helicopter when it crashed.

Loagan Bunut homestay forced to close temporarily after lake dries up
Mutiara Bunut Homestay in Loagan Bunut National Park, Sarawak, has temporarily suspended operations after the lake dried up due to a severe dry spell. Owner Rolland Ayu said the closure affects bookings for August and September, and operations will resume once water levels are safe for boats. The park is about 111km from Miri city.
