Gardener in Melaka returns RM15,000 gold bracelet found at museum
A gardener at the Maritime Museum in Banda Hilir, Melaka found a gold bracelet worth about RM15,000 while sweeping the museum grounds last Sunday. Tengku Andy Asmawi, 28, handed the jewellery to museum management, saying he did not want to take what was not his. The bracelet was later returned to its owner from Kuala Lumpur.

Online job scam syndicate busted in Melaka Raya, three Chinese nationals held
Police raided two premises in Melaka Raya and arrested three Chinese men aged 29 to 37 suspected of running an online job scam syndicate. Victims were targeted on TikTok with tasks to 'like' ads and play 'Aether Swap' before being promised commissions. All suspects are remanded four days under Section 420 of the Penal Code and the Immigration Act 1959/63.

Bangladeshi influencer murder case: chemical report not ready, mention set for Oct 13

Melaka High Court upholds JPJ officer's corruption conviction over RM3,600 bribes

Unemployed man jailed four months for extorting woman by Melaka River
An unemployed 33-year-old man was sentenced to four months in prison by the Ayer Keroh Magistrate's Court in Melaka after pleading guilty to extorting a woman by the Melaka River, Kampung Morten, on September 1. The accused, Muhhamad Nazirul Jasmi, had demanded RM200 from the victim, Nahzatul Farahin Abdul Gharapar, 36, in return for her lost mobile phone.
