UPSI runner Sriven Tan won the gold medal in the men's 10,000m race walk at SUKIPT 2026, held at Arena UM in Kuala Lumpur. Despite receiving three warnings and entering the penalty box, he finished in 52 minutes 11.53 seconds to secure victory for his university.

Shawn Roshan breaks SUKIPT record
Shawn Roshan Singh of Universiti Malaya broke the SUKIPT 2026 games record in the men's 1,500m at Arena UM in Kuala Lumpur, clocking 4:03.43. The previous record of 4:05.11 was set in 2016.

Media Prima official media partner for PPA Asia 1000
Media Prima has been appointed as the official media partner for the PPA Asia 1000, Leapmotor Kuala Lumpur Cup 2026 pickleball tournament, which will be held at The Hood in Kuala Lumpur from September 9-13. The tournament will feature international players like Gabriel Tardio and Chao Yi Wang, as well as Malaysian representatives Jimmy Liong Kai Long, Syed Uzair Sufi, and Timothy Foo.

Danish and Fatin crowned sprint kings and queens at SUKIPT
At the SUKIPT 2026 athletics finals at Arena Universiti Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, UPSI's Danish Iftikhar and Fatin Ilyana won the men's and women's 100m titles, with Danish breaking the games record twice. Both will represent Malaysia internationally next.
