National squad aim to be more than also-rans at LTdL 2026
Malaysia's national road cycling squad unveiled four core riders for Le Tour de Langkawi 2026 at a media conference at the National Sports Council in Kuala Lumpur. Coach Mohd Yusof Abdul Nasir said the team will not settle for a supporting role and will focus on the climbs, with two more slots to be filled.

Higher HC points set to make LTdL26 King of the Mountain fight fierce
The battle for the King of the Mountain jersey at Le Tour de Langkawi 2026 is expected to stay fierce until the final stages after Hors Classe points at Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands were raised to 25 from 15. LTdL chief operating officer Emir Abdul Jalal said the three summit finishes at Gunung Jerai, Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands will be key, with climbing zones in stages six and eight still offering points. The race runs from 27 September to 4 October over eight stages covering 1,285.5 kilometres.

Aiman retains national individual time trial title for seventh time
Muhammad Nur Aiman Rosli of Terengganu Cycling Team defended his elite men's individual time trial title at the 2026 National Road Championships in Rembau and Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. He clocked 37 minutes 35.642 seconds, beating teammate Kee Zhe Yie and Muhammad Yusri Shaari. Intan Suraya Tokiman won the elite women's event.
