Rainforest Wild Adventure East wins BCA inclusive design award
Rainforest Wild Adventure East at Mandai Wildlife Reserve is one of four projects to receive the Building and Construction Authority's Universal Design Excellence Award this year. Its Canopy Glider ride has removable side guards and armrests, a portable ramp and free wheelchairs, while the park also offers Braille signage and an accessible changing room. The other winners are an Enabling Village extension with a sheltered walkway from Redhill MRT, Great World Mall and Harmony Village @ Bukit Batok.

Johor coconut sellers see smaller hot-weather sales boost as Singapore supply grows
Fruit sellers in Johor Bahru say hot weather has lifted coconut sales, but the increase is far smaller than in past years because coconuts are now more readily available in Singapore. One seller, Tie Kian, says he now moves about 100 coconuts a day, down from 200 to 400 during hot spells six or seven years ago, as Singaporean customers no longer need to cross the border.
