Deputy minister urges digital documentation of Kenyah heritage at Miri festival
Deputy Minister Dato Gerawat Gala called for the Kenyah community's oral traditions and cultural heritage to be documented using digital technology. He was speaking at the Traditional Dance and Music Cultural Night held in conjunction with the Sarawak Kenyah Cultural Festival 2026 at the Forum building in Miri. He also encouraged Kenyah youths to use social media to promote their culture.

Kenyah culture has potential to drive tourism and community economy
At the Sarawak Kenyah Cultural Festival (SKCF) 7.0 in Miri, Deputy Minister Datuk Gerawat Gala said the Kenyah community's cultural heritage has strong potential to boost tourism and local economic opportunities. He also donated RM10,000 to the Persatuan Kebangsaan Kenyah Sarawak (PKKS) and urged the younger generation to preserve their traditions.

Concert Cultural Evolution on Sept 1 – 4 celebrates Kenyah’s ethnicity
Concert Cultural Evolution, part of the Sarawak Kenyah Cultural Festival 2026, will be held on Sept 3 at the Grand Ballroom, Forum Cultural Centre in Miri, Sarawak. The event features Kenyah music, dance, and Sape' performances to celebrate and promote cultural heritage.
