Four charged with murder of man at Sungai Petani plantation
Two brothers and two other men were charged in the Alor Star magistrate's court with murdering a man at an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sungai Division, Sungai Petani, last month. The victim, Mohd Badaruddin Md Nayan, was found dead with injuries to the back of his head. The case is set for mention on Nov 11.

MBSB Bank has allocated RM78 million in shariah-compliant financing for solar energy projects at 32 Syarikat Air Darul Aman (SADA) facilities in Kedah. Cloud seeding in Kedah successfully produces rain at three dams
A three-day cloud seeding operation in Kedah has successfully produced rain at the Pedu, Muda and Beris dams. The operation, which ran from September 3 to 5, also recorded rain near the Ahning dam. It was a collaboration between MetMalaysia, NADMA and the Royal Malaysian Air Force using a C130-Hercules aircraft.
