The number rose from 69 at 4am to 76 at 8am, with evacuees from Taman Larah Damai, Kampung Changkat, Taman Lela and Taman Kamunting Mutiara.

    A fire broke out at the Pulau Burung solid waste landfill in Nibong Tebal, Penang, late last night. The blaze covered an area of about 36 metres by 27 metres and was brought under control at 12.30am before being fully extinguished around 5am. Seventeen firefighters from four stations were involved, and no casualties were reported.
