Serian records API 174, four Sarawak areas unhealthy
Four areas in Sarawak recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 6pm today, with Serian highest in the country at 174. Sri Aman recorded 164, followed by Kuching at 154 and Samarahan at 152, while Johan Setia in Selangor was the only other area nationwide with unhealthy air quality at 134.

Man, 31, held over mother's murder in Tambunan
A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his 56-year-old mother at a rented house in Kampung Katagayan, Tambunan, Sabah, on Friday. Police said the victim died at the scene from injuries believed to have been caused by a sharp weapon, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

KEMAS DIY course ends at longhouse in Sri Aman, MP urges expansion
The closing ceremony for a KEMAS DIY course was held at Rumah Panjang Connie ak Jepin in Kampung Panggau, Batu Besai. Sri Aman MP Dato' Sri Doris Sophia Brodie said the program provides new skills and income opportunities for rural communities. She also called for similar programs to be expanded to more communities.
