Comedian Abon seeks JKM aid after heart condition cuts his income
Malaysian comedian Abon, whose real name is Sharizan Ahmad, has applied for welfare assistance from the Social Welfare Department after losing his income since June due to a heart condition. He had stents fitted in two heart vessels and was told to rest for at least five months, spending thousands on treatment. He was met at his home in Hulu Langat during a FINAS Ziarah Seni Madani programme.

Contractor fined RM20,000 for using forged documents in Felda project bids
A contractor was fined RM20,000 by the Johor Baru Sessions Court after pleading guilty to using forged documents to secure RM5 million worth of Felda road and drainage projects. The offences were committed in Muar in February 2023, and the projects were located in Gua Musang, Kelantan and Batu Pahat.

Motorcyclist injured after hitting cable hanging from MRT viaduct
A motorcyclist was injured and several vehicles damaged after a grounding cable from the MRT viaduct hung down between Sri Raya and Bandar Tun Hussein Onn stations early this morning. Rapid KL believes the cable was cut and possibly stolen, and has launched an investigation.
