Yii: RM19m spent on Pujut roads, drainage and lights since 2022
Miri mayor and Pujut assemblyman Adam Yii said about RM9.21 million went to resurfacing or upgrading 75 roads and over RM10.14 million to 97 drainage projects in Pujut between 2022 and 2025. Speaking at a PCDS 2030 programme at SM Pei Min in Miri, he said flooding, traffic congestion, ageing infrastructure and squatter settlements still need long-term solutions.

BIMP-EAGA meeting in Miri focuses on improving cross-border connectivity
Sarawak's Transport Minister, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, officiated the 4th BIMP-EAGA Trade Facilitation Cluster (TFC) meeting in Miri. He stressed the importance of smoother cross-border connectivity to strengthen trade and tourism among BIMP-EAGA member countries, including through key routes in Sarawak such as Miri, Limbang, and Lawas.

MoU signed for road and digital infrastructure at Kenyalang Smart City in Miri
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in Miri between Imasa Dinasti Sdn Bhd and SACOFA Sdn Bhd to enhance road and digital infrastructure for the Kenyalang Smart City project. The government has identified a 5.2-kilometer alignment for roads, while SACOFA's digital infrastructure is estimated to cover about 3.5 kilometers. Existing roads will be upgraded to four lanes, with work targeted for completion in under two years.

Miri lorry terminal earthworks 70% complete, full project due by March
The Miri Lorry Terminal project in Sarawak has reached 70% completion of its earth filling works. Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin said the remaining works are expected to be completed by the end of March next year. The terminal is intended to be Sarawak's first dedicated lorry terminal to serve the freight and logistics industry in Miri and northern Sarawak.
