Ibraco launches NBX Residence I in Kuching with 100 elderly-friendly units
Ibraco Bhd has launched NBX Residence I in Kuching, a 268-unit development inside the NorthBank Business Exchange precinct, with about 100 units designed for senior citizens. The RM216 million project will be linked by a sheltered skybridge to a future 300-bed Regency Specialist Hospital Kuching, targeted to open in 2029. Bookings opened on Monday and the launch was officiated by Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Padawan council collects assessment tax arrears in Matang Jaya
The Padawan Municipal Council carried out an assessment tax arrears collection operation around Matang Jaya, Kuching yesterday. The operation from 8.30am to 1pm targeted owners of residential and building premises with arrears of more than three years. The council reminded owners to settle their assessment tax within the stipulated period to avoid late payment penalties or surcharges.

Ibraco Bhd has launched the NorthBank Business Exchange (NBX) in Kuching, a mixed-use destination within the 123-acre NorthBank township. NBX will be connected to the SM07 NorthBank Ibraco ART station and the adjoining Regency Specialist Hospital Kuching via a dedicated SkyLink bridge, and will feature a neighbourhood mall, offices and over 1,000 basement parking bays.

Kuching property buyers prioritise price, loan eligibility over location
At the SHEDA Property Expo 2026 in Kuching, property agents say younger buyers are interested in homes priced between RM300,000 and RM500,000 but are constrained by loan eligibility. Existing debts and irregular income often reduce the amount they can borrow, making early financial screening important. Buyers are now more price-sensitive and value-conscious than in 2025.
