Raja Muda of Perlis opens MIDF CSR study room at MADI
The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, opened a study room donated through a CSR initiative worth RM98,125 at Al-Madrasah Ad-Diniah Al-Islamiyah (MADI) in Kangar. The contribution is part of MIDF's CSR initiative with MAIPs, during a visit to several locations in Perlis including MATRI, Masjid Sirajuddin Padang Pauh, a house in Batu 20 Kok Mak and the Kampung Nelayan Seberang Ramai Kuala Perlis transformation project.

133 students in Perlis receive education aid from Yayasan Fawwaz
A total of 133 students from across Perlis received education aid from Yayasan Fawwaz at a ceremony at the Kubang Gajah Service Centre in Arau. Degree students received RM300, diploma students RM200 and certificate students RM100, with extra help for special cases including accidents and disasters. Arau MP Shahidan Kassim said the twice-yearly programme will continue.

A total of 1,885 PALAPES cadet officers from 20 public universities received their commissions at the 44th Royal Parade ceremony at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) in Arau today. The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, said cadets must equip themselves with knowledge as the defence landscape grows more complex, including cyberattacks, hybrid warfare, drones and AI.

Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is hosting the 44th Royal Commissioning Ceremony for PALAPES cadet officers in Arau, Perlis. Nearly 2,000 cadets from 20 public universities will be commissioned before about 4,000 attendees. The Raja Muda of Perlis will officiate.

He said the Askar Wataniah is now recognised as a strategic asset strengthening national defence readiness, with its members' expertise in cyber, logistics, medical, engineering and technology serving as a force multiplier for the Malaysian Army.

Istana Arau said the meeting reflects close ties between the Perlis royal institution and the Malaysian Army, strengthening security and defence cooperation given Perlis's position as a northern border state.

The Bersatu Arau division leadership, including its deputy chief and wing chiefs, announced their resignations and immediate departure from the party on Thursday night. Contract worker pleads guilty to snatching RM10,000 gold chain in Arau
A contract worker pleaded guilty at the Kangar Magistrate's Court to robbing and injuring an elderly woman while snatching a gold chain worth RM10,000 at a house in Bumbung Lima, Arau on 5 September. Wan Afandi Wan Salehudin, 26, was granted RM6,000 bail with one surety, and sentencing is set for 23 September.

Perlis cloud seeding raises Timah Tasoh Dam to highest level since January
A cloud seeding operation in Perlis brought rain to most of the state, raising the Timah Tasoh Dam's water level from 27.00m to 27.15m. The Perlis Department of Irrigation and Drainage says this is the highest reading since January and within the normal range. MetMalaysia and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) conducted a cloud seeding operation in Perlis and Kedah to address dry weather and low water levels. The operation targeted several dams, including Timah Tasoh in Perlis and Ahning, Pedu, Muda, and Beris in Kedah, using a C-130H aircraft from Subang Air Base.
