PJ Half Marathon cancelled over unhealthy haze, organiser says
The Petaling Jaya Half Marathon, scheduled for tomorrow with 10,000 participants, has been cancelled due to unhealthy Air Pollutant Index readings. Organisers cited the health and well-being of runners, volunteers and crew for the decision, though registered runners may still join an optional 5km route. 11 SMART members depart for Nepal for flood and landslide SAR mission
Eleven members of Malaysia's Special Malaysia Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (SMART) departed from the TUDM Subang Air Base to Nepal to assist in search and rescue operations following floods and landslides. NKVE northbound near Shah Alam fully blocked after late-night crash involving gantry
All northbound lanes of the NKVE near Shah Alam were blocked late Tuesday night after an accident involving what appeared to be a fallen overhead gantry and several heavy vehicles. PLUS Malaysia advised motorists to exit at the Setia Alam or Bukit Raja toll plazas and use alternative routes. The cause of the accident and any casualties were not immediately known.

Police arrest man over TikTok post on temple demolition gathering
Police in Kangar arrested a 55-year-old man in Petaling Jaya over a TikTok post promoting a gathering at the site of a demolished temple in Bukit Lagi. The post was suspected of inciting tensions following the temple's demolition on Aug 20. The suspect was remanded for two days to assist investigations under the Sedition Act and the Communications and Multimedia Act.
