1. Sanusi wants PAS-UMNO seat talks widened beyond Melaka

   Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said PAS-UMNO seat negotiations should cover other states, not just the Melaka state election. He suggested that if UMNO wants to contest in Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu or Perlis, PAS should also be given room in Melaka. Sanusi also held an informal meeting with Kedah UMNO leaders at Seri Mentaloon, Alor Setar.

2. Alor Setar High Court rejects GISBH challenge against Kedah fatwa

   The Alor Setar High Court dismissed an application by GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd and its CEO Nasiruddin Ali to challenge a Kedah fatwa declaring GISBH a deviant teachings organisation. Judge Evawani Farisyta Mohammad ruled the civil court has no jurisdiction as the fatwa involves the Sultan's prerogative. GISBH and Nasiruddin will appeal, after similar challenges in Shah Alam and Kangar were also rejected.
