Nearly 200-year-old handwritten Quran belonging to Idris Jusoh's grandfather displayed at Besut's Masjid Kayu
A handwritten Quran nearly 200 years old is now on display at Masjid Ulul Albab, also known as Masjid Kayu, in Seberang Jertih, Besut. The manuscript belonged to Tuan Guru Abdul Hamid Fadhlullah Domis, grandfather of former Terengganu Menteri Besar Tan Sri Idris Jusoh, and was handed over by the family for safekeeping and scholarly reference. It will later be sent to the Narathiwat Quran Museum in southern Thailand for restoration.

RM1.2 million for five Kampung Angkat MADANI projects in Besut
The government has allocated RM1.2 million for five development projects under the Kampung Angkat MADANI Programme in Kampung Pinang, Besut, Terengganu. The projects include roads, a community centre, solar lights and upgrading works with Kolej Vokasional Besut. Deputy Economy Minister Mohd Shahar Abdullah handed over the projects today.

PGA seizes 383 logs, three machines at Besut sawmill
The Southeast Brigade of the General Operations Force raided a sawmill in Gong Tengah, Besut, Terengganu, seizing 383 logs and three band saw machines worth RM338,300. Four men aged 40 to 52 failed to produce timber tax documents, and the case is being investigated under the National Forestry Act 1984 and the Wood-Based Industries Enactment 1985.
