Police await blood test results of lorry driver in fatal LPT 1 crash
Temerloh district police are awaiting blood test results of the cement tanker driver involved in an 11-vehicle accident at KM 110.4 of the LPT 1 highway in Lanchang, Temerloh on August 31. The crash killed four people, including a family of three. The 52-year-old driver is still being treated at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital (HoSHAH), Temerloh.

Seven UiTM students hospitalised, outdoor KKEC 2026 activities cancelled after heat incident in Jengka
Seven UiTM students are still receiving treatment in Pahang hospitals following a heat-related incident during a tough road race at the KKEC 2026 program in Jengka Campus. One student died in the incident, and all outdoor activities for the program have been cancelled. The UiTM Vice-Chancellor said the university is cooperating with authorities on the investigation.

Fahmi Fadzil offers condolences to families of four killed in LPT1 crash
A multi-vehicle collision on the East Coast Highway 1 (LPT1) near Lanchang, Temerloh, killed four people, including a family of three returning to Kuantan from National Day celebrations in Putrajaya. Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil offered condolences.
