1. Jalan Syed Putra-Jalan Istana junction to close in stages from Sept 14 for NPE 2 works

   A section of the Jalan Syed Putra and Jalan Istana intersection in Kuala Lumpur will be closed in stages from Sept 14, between 10pm and 5am, to allow preliminary construction for the New Pantai Expressway Extension Project (NPE 2). NPE has advised motorists to plan their journeys and follow traffic management measures, and provided an infoline for inquiries.

2. Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah closed 322 days for Mutiara LRT works

   MRT Corp announced that Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah in George Town will have a 322-day traffic diversion from Sept 12, 2026 to July 31, 2027 for piling and structural works on the Mutiara Line LRT. Jalan Magazine will also be partially closed from 10pm on Sept 14 to 5am on Oct 5 for road widening and utility relocation.
