Eppendorf leases 11.82-acre Bandar Cassia site for first Southeast Asian plant
German life sciences company Eppendorf SE has leased an 11.82-acre site at Bandar Cassia Technology Park in Batu Kawan, Penang, from the Penang Development Corporation for 60 years to build its first Southeast Asian manufacturing facility. The company plans to invest about €40 million (RM186 million) in the plant, with construction expected to begin in Q4 2026 and production starting in 2028, creating around 130 jobs by 2029.

Ambulance driver pleads not guilty to reckless driving causing teenager's death
