The body of a fisherman who went missing was found floating in the waters off Hutan Melintang, Perak, and identified as Mohd Sharil Abd Rahman, 43. The search and rescue operation for two other missing victims continues, involving PDRM, APMM, JBPM and APM.

Fishing boat capsizes off Sekinchan, four rescued and three still missing
A fishing boat carrying seven local men capsized and sank off Sekinchan in bad weather, storms and strong waves. Four victims were found floating safely about 25 nautical miles from the Sungai Besar coast and taken to the Pulau Indah marine police base, while three others are still missing. The search and rescue operation involving police, APMM, JBPM and APM continued into its second day.

Four fishermen found floating off Sekinchan, three still missing
Four of seven fishermen missing for two days were found floating and weak about 25 nautical miles off Sungai Besar in Sekinchan waters today. Two were taken to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah and two to Hospital Banting. The search continues for three still missing.

Two teens trapped by flash flood at Sungai Bill, Slim River, rescued
Two 17-year-old boys were trapped across Sungai Bill in Slim River, Tanjung Malim, after a flash flood around 5.03pm. Fire and Rescue Department personnel from Perak located them and guided them out through a forest path before handing them to police.

Police hunt 4-5 more suspects in RM2.4 billion Puncak Alam drug lab syndicate
Police are hunting four to five more members of a syndicate linked to a large-scale drug processing lab in Puncak Alam, Selangor, with some believed to have fled abroad. The lab was uncovered in Op Eumenes on Aug 15, leading to the seizure of over 13 tonnes of MDMA worth an estimated RM2.4 billion in raids around Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
