Selangor may shift Para SUKMA events to evening due to haze
The Selangor government is prepared to adjust the schedules of certain Para SUKMA 2026 events, potentially extending them into the evening, due to haze and poor air quality. Para SUKMA: Sabah dominates athletics with 14 golds, three national records fall
At the Para SUKMA games in Shah Alam, Sabah's contingent won 14 gold medals in para athletics at the UiTM Shah Alam Stadium. National records were broken by Muhammad Hafiq Hizwan of Melaka in the 400m T46, Alysha Aryana of Selangor in the 100m freestyle S14, and Bibiana Ahmad of Sarawak in powerlifting.

Fashion designer acquitted of drug trafficking after three years in remand
The Shah Alam High Court has acquitted and discharged fashion designer G Chelvan of a charge of trafficking over 3kg of methamphetamine. Judicial Commissioner Norhisham Ismail ruled that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case. Chelvan had been in detention at Sungai Buloh Prison since his arrest in March 2023.

Syazwani wins third consecutive Para SUKMA gold
Sarawak's para bowler Nur Syazwani Marais won the gold medal in the women's TPB4 singles event at Para SUKMA Selangor 2026, held at Sunway Mega Lanes in Bandar Sunway. This is her third consecutive title after wins in 2022 and 2024. Other gold medals went to athletes from Sabah, Kedah and Selangor.
