UMNO assembly day three: Ahmad Zahid's policy speech in focus

Zahid warns UMNO not to be fooled again in political cooperation
At the UMNO 2026 General Assembly at WTCKL, party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi warned delegates not to be 'bitten by the same snake' in political cooperation. Deputy President Mohamad Hasan said UMNO will not forget being played in Malay-Islamic unity efforts. A Kubang Pasu delegate added that any cooperation must be sincere and willing to compromise, including on seat allocation in PN-held states.

F1 Bahrain GP preparations at Sepang 80 pct complete, says minister
Preparations for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit are 80 per cent complete, Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari said in Putrajaya. Upgrading works at SIC began on Sept 7 and 500 volunteers have been identified for training. Malaysia will host the race from Oct 2-4, bringing F1 back after nine years.

MACC hands eight governance recommendations on JPN shop lot rentals
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission presented eight recommendations to the National Registration Department to improve governance of shop lot, stall and kiosk rental contracts. The recommendations were presented at JPN headquarters and cover application mechanisms, written agreements and security screening of private workers.
