Customs Seize Smuggled Cigarettes, Liquor Worth RM1.95 Million in Klang Valley
The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) Kuala Lumpur seized untaxed white cigarettes and liquor worth RM1.95 million through two special operations around the Klang Valley. The Ops Tembok Besar and Ops Akur operations, conducted in July and August, led to the arrest of 38 individuals and the opening of 38 investigation papers.

Irfan Bakti: KRW forced to recall released players due to FIFA restrictions

JDT thrash UM-Damansara United 10-0 to reach FA Cup quarter-finals
Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) secured their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals with a 10-0 victory over UM-Damansara United at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, winning the tie 14-1 on aggregate. Mother of former senator Ras Adiba Radzi dies in Petaling Jaya
Siti Sariah Abu, the 81-year-old mother of former senator and Bernama chairman Ras Adiba Radzi, died at her home in Section 16, Petaling Jaya. She passed away peacefully while sitting at home at around 5.20pm. The funeral is expected to take place at the Bukit Kiara Muslim Cemetery tomorrow morning.

IJM launches AI traffic control centre for three highways, cuts response times by 33%
IJM Corporation launched its AI-powered Smart Highway Traffic Control Centre at the Besraya Loke Yew toll plaza lay-by. The system, which covers Besraya, NPE and LEKAS, uses AI and IoT to detect incidents faster and reduce emergency response times to between eight and 10 minutes. Works Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi officiated the launch and said no retrenchments are planned.

Brothers get court leave to challenge DBKL nod for 39-storey towers near Old Klang Road home
Two brothers have been granted High Court leave to challenge Kuala Lumpur City Hall's approval for two 39-storey residential towers planned less than 11 metres from their home along Jalan Klang Lama. The court also granted an interim stay on the development until a hearing for a permanent stay on October 8. The brothers are seeking to overturn the development order and building plan, citing concerns over traffic, noise, and lack of an environmental impact assessment.

NCT Alliance hands over first phase of RM10.2b Selangor smart industrial park, launches second phase
NCT Alliance Bhd has begun handing over vacant possession of the first phase of its NCT Smart Industrial Park in South Selangor, with nearly 90 per cent of its 280 units taken up. The company also launched KM2, the second phase adding 241 industrial units, at an event officiated by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

The new variant makes its public debut at MAHA 2026 in Serdang.

KESAS highway crash: van slams into trailer lorry, 9 injured including child
A van crashed into the back of a trailer lorry near a petrol station on the KESAS highway in Kuala Lumpur, injuring nine people including a child. The driver was trapped and had to be freed by firefighters from the Bukit Jalil station. The injured were sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital and University Malaya Medical Centre.

CAS rejects Selangor appeal, fan ban for FA Cup match stands
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has rejected Selangor FC's request to suspend their punishment of playing without supporters. This means their FA Cup match against Sabah FC at the MBPJ Stadium on September 9 will be played behind closed doors.
