The 7th edition ended at Dewan Tuanku Canselor, Universiti Malaya on Sept 6, with 46 meet records and two national records broken.

   The closing ceremony of Para SUKMA Selangor 2026 at the Selangor International Trade Centre (SITC) in Shah Alam saw Selangor swimmer Muhammad Safwan Suhaimi named Best Male Athlete after taking six golds and one bronze. Sarawak athletics athlete Noshazwani Maisara Marzuki, 23, was named Best Female Athlete with two golds and a silver, including two games records in F37 javelin and shot put.

   The closing ceremony of Para SUKMA 2026 was held at the Selangor International Trade Centre (STIC), with Selangor emerging as overall champions for the first time since the games began in 1982. Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said he hopes national para athletes will go on to become world champions, and noted the age limit of under 40 for athletes. Selangor collected 93 golds, 55 silvers and 52 bronzes, followed by Sabah and Sarawak.

6. Para SUKMA: Kelantan powerlifter Wan Nur Azri breaks national record four times, wins gold

   At the Para SUKMA 2026 in Shah Alam, Kelantan's Wan Nur Azri Wan Azman won the men's over-107kg powerlifting gold, breaking the national record four times with a best lift of 200kg. He competed despite a right wrist injury sustained during training about a month ago.
