Crest Builder unit wins RM56.88mil electrical works contract in Bandar Sri Damansara
Crest Builder Holdings Bhd's wholly owned unit Cbtech (M) Sdn Bhd has secured a RM56.88 million contract for electrical works at a commercial development in Bandar Sri Damansara, Selangor. The contract, awarded by Pesona Metro Sdn Bhd, covers Phase 1A (a 14-storey retail mall) and Phase 1C (a 40-storey office tower) on Lot 73013, Persiaran Perdana. Work starts Sept 1, 2026, and is scheduled for completion by March 17, 2028.

BIM saved RM157m and 10 years on Pan Borneo Sarawak, Works Ministry says
The Works Ministry said Building Information Modelling resolved over 3,000 drawing errors on the Pan Borneo Sarawak Highway in 2016, saving RM157 million and avoiding a potential 10-year delay. Speaking at Malaysia BIM Day 2026 at the Putrajaya Corporation Complex, officials said RM83.3 million is funding 16 new BIM Labs at PWD offices nationwide, with AI to be added to the approval process.

RM350,000 to upgrade roads and lifts at Bandar Tasik Selatan flats
The government has allocated RM350,000 to upgrade road structures at the Bandar Tasik Selatan low-cost flats in Kuala Lumpur under the 2026 Projek Mesra Rakyat initiative. The flats' lifts will also be repaired, and a RM72,000 Flexi EV Charging station with four chargers was launched at the same event. Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail also presented tuition sponsorship to 10 Form Five students.

Timah Langat health clinic only 56% done since 2023, contractor warned
The construction of a Type 3 health clinic with staff quarters in Timah Langat, Dengkil, has reached only 56 per cent progress since work began in 2023. Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said the contractor and site supervisor were given stern warnings after a surprise site visit, while the Works Ministry also assessed the project.

Citaglobal wins RM82.1mil subcontract to build residential college at IPG Lembah Pantai
Citaglobal Bhd, through its wholly owned subsidiary Citaglobal Land Sdn Bhd, has secured an RM82.1 million design-and-build subcontract from Purnama Base Sdn Bhd. The project covers a residential college at the Institute of Teacher Education's Malay Language Campus in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, and is due for completion on 30 June 2028. The 22-month contract is expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings.

Mondelez invests RM90mil in Shah Alam Cadbury plant, adds Crumb Tower
Mondelez International has invested RM90 million in its Cadbury confectionery plant in Shah Alam, Selangor, launching a new Crumb Tower that lets the factory produce chocolate crumb locally instead of importing it from South Africa and Australia. Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said the investment shows confidence in the state as a long-term manufacturing base, while Mondelez's Malaysia and Singapore managing director Simon Crowther said it strengthens self-sufficiency and Shah Alam's role in the regional network.
