MACC gets four more days to remand five vehicle transfer forgery suspects in Ipoh
The Ipoh magistrate's court extended the remand of five suspects by four days until Sept 18 in a MACC probe into forged vehicle ownership transfer documents. The five, part of 11 arrested including six RTD personnel, allegedly acted as middlemen and bribed enforcement officers in Perak.

18 motorcycles seized, four held in Ipoh street gang operation
Police in Ipoh, Perak, conducted an integrated operation against street gangs at Jalan Pasir Puteh near Station 18 early this morning. Eighteen motorcycles were seized and four individuals detained for reckless riding, while 416 traffic summonses were issued. The operation involved 66 police and environment department personnel.

Firemen trek 2km up Bukit Perak Cave Temple to bring down Nepali man's body
A Nepali man was found hanging from a tree at the summit of Bukit Perak Cave Temple on Jalan Kuala Kangsar in Ipoh. Six firemen walked about two kilometres along a hilly route to reach the body and bring it down before handing it to police. The operation began after a call at 1.33pm and ended at 4.10pm.

Malaysian woman held in New Delhi, 15kg cannabis seized
A 22-year-old Malaysian woman from Perak was arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on 4 September after 30 plastic packets containing more than 15kg of cannabis were found in her trolley bag. She arrived from Kuala Lumpur on Batik Air flight OD205 and has a prior drug-related record, and remains in Indian custody.

Ex-KPTM Ipoh administrator faces six charges over female students
A former administrator of Kolej Poly-Tech Mara (KPTM) in Ipoh was charged in court with six offences involving alleged criminal force against two female students and obscene words against four others. Roykarnaen Maseri, 44, pleaded not guilty to all charges, which were allegedly committed at the college and other locations in Ipoh between June and August. The court set bail at RM8,000.
